Personal Learning from Assessments:

I found the 3 assessments to be an interesting exercise and a helpful tool in acknowledging the different aspects of my personality. While many of my results were in accordance with my preset assumptions, some did surprise me and seemed somewhat inaccurate. According to the temperament assessment, I am highly extroverted and feeling based which is very true of my own perceptions. However, I do not see myself as “hyper-vigilant” as I was categorized. In terms of the career options, the assessment was in line with the type of work I am trying to pursue, placing me in a job that involves high interaction as well as community care. I am a Communications Major with a minor in HRD which involves both of these things. In a similar way, the multiple intelligences test highlighted my interpersonal and intrapersonal strengths as well as my body and naturalistic intelligence. I am very social and very nature oriented with interests in group settings and outdoor activities and exercise. Finally, I was somewhat confused about the results of my learning styles but on each scale I was balanced between 1 and 1 which I am assuming shows that I am consistent in my approaches to learning. I genuinely enjoyed this assignment because it made me analyze myself in ways that I had not before. I think that it is important to be aware of your sense of self and the way that you are inclined to act with others.
