Changing the Channel on Your Clicker

1. Press the Orange Menu Button

2. When asked if you want to leave Presentation Mode Press the Yes button

3. To scroll down to Change Channel in the menu press the Yes button (to scroll up in the menu press the No button)

4. Press Enter when Change Channel is highlighted

5. Enter the channel number by pressing the numeric keys on the Clicker

6.  Press Enter when you are finished entering the channel number.

You should receive confirmation on your clicker that the Receiver on that channel is found.  If you do not receive this message, double check which channel you should be on and try again.

Purchasing Clickers

The clicker vendor on campus is called Turning Technologies.  Anyone who purchases a Turning Technologies clicker from the JMU bookstore will receive a $10.00 rebate in the box that can be mailed in.

The Turning Technologies XR clicker does not require a paid registration to use it, once you purchase the clicker you can use it in any of your classes.

Should you have any specific questions about your clicker please be sure to contact the professor of the class you are using the clicker in.

1. First log into Blackboard by visiting: http://blackboard.jmu.edu and log in with your JMU e-ID and password. 

2. Log into one of your courses by clicking on the name of the course. 

3. On the left side of your screen, click on Course Tools. 

4. Scroll to the bottom of the Course Tools Page and click on the TurningPoint Registration Tool. 

5. Type in your Device ID number twice then click submit 

TIP: To find your Device ID number, look at the back of your clicker.  Located on the back of your clicker under the bar code is your DEVICE ID.  It is a 6 digit alpha-numeric or numeric code.  The numbers can only be 0-9 and A-F.  Your Device ID will NOT contain any letter O’s or I’s.
