The Breeze

Now that you’ve heard and seen them laughing, here is a sample of what our audience gets out of this program:

I personally find biology one of the less interesting sciences (it’s still really cool, just not as cool as physics or chemistry), but I think Demystifying the Expert was a fun way of learning science.

This program was not what I was expecting. I really enjoyed both the comedy and the physics components of the show. Dr. X [the Expert] was very witty (I liked all the puns), and I felt like she was able to explain her research in a way that was simple enough for me to understand, even with my limited background knowledge on the subject. The jokes were funny, but I think mu favorite part of the program was when she described how…

Before going to ”Demystifying the Expert,” I was a little hesitant that I could learn anything from a comedy show, but last night definitely proved me to be very wrong. I have always been confused about the concepts of black holes. I always thought that…

The comedy show was a great experience, both educationally and comedically. It was great that I got to laugh but also learn more about the wonders and marvels of physics and astronomy. I learned, or more so came to the realization, that…

Although I thought Demystifying the Expert was going to really boring and I wouldn’t learn much I actually really enjoyed it and learned quite a bit. The biggest thing I learn was that…

I was very happy with the show last night. I hadn’t experienced the show before, so I didn’t’ come in with high expectations, but I was blown away. The show was simultaneously hilarious and genuinely intriguing from a science perspective. I can now see why…

For starters, the show was not what I was expecting. I figured it would be slightly funny but mostly boring because most teachers wouldn’t be as hilarious as you were. Not only did I laugh a lot, I also learnt a ton, … scientific advances I never new existed till tonight were brought to my attention and had me captivated during the whole show.

I really enjoyed the event last night and commend you on your production. I thought the improv group was excellent and the guest was also excellent – relaxed and quick with their comebacks and innovative too. Well done

Demystifying the expert was a wonderfully put together, entertaining event that I thoroughly enjoyed and had many laughs at. Not only was it entertaining in the humorous sense but also was an extremely educational experience.

I found that this event was a rather interesting way of learning about the various applications of seemingly unrelated fields of science with one another, while making it more memorable through the humor. I may start to attend these regularly now.
