The first image is showing the container together but broken up in its pieces. It was a way to show how it can start as the container.
The model below focuses on the kitchen as the focus. It is more spread out then the living area one to allow for more community spaces. The container out on the side is the container that will be given to the community.
This model below focuses on nature. It allows some of the spaces to be near each other but some to be separate in order to be involved in your surroundings. I want you to have you experience nature as you go from space to space.
Today my group worked on coming up with a scheme. Our scheme is to break up the container (s) into different segments depending on program and also depending on the family and a few of the parts of each container will go to the community in order to build the community spaces ( water collection, fish hatchery, developmental area, etc.). The community will build these spaces. The houses will have a sort of template that they have. There will be different versions – focusing on different aspects that a family would enjoy ( nature, kitchen, living together).
Our team worked through the symptoms we had created and started to develop them into ideas for the container.
We first diagramed the symptom, then diagramed the opposite of the symptom, then related this to the container and then related it to the site. These were all in forms so we could develop ideas. The next step was to model from there to develop the ideas to more complexity.
