Moodle Licensing

The Moodle software package and documentation is licensed under one of the GPL licenses. Moodle version 1.x is licensed under GPL version 2 and Moodle 2.x under version 3 or any later version of the GPL, at the licensee’s option. Blackboard course activity statistics Summer 2010-Summer 2011

We recently switched our measures for Blackboard course activity to use the internal Blackboard usage tracking and decided to gather numbers at three different levels:

  • Total number of courses, instructors, students, etc. in the system
  • Number of courses showing moderate activity, determined by the number of times users entered the course (hits) being at least one per enrolled user per semester.

IT requires JMU folks to submit a PIQ any time they plan to initiative some kind of technology project. They require this so they are aware of projects that may require extra resources from IT. I uploaded the PIQ for this project to the Root folder of the Dropbox.
