Last Friday, Jim McConnel and Kristin Sowden engaged with faculty at a Teaching Roundtable focused on teaching first-year students at JMU. Nine faculty members from four colleges attended the roundtable and discussed topics regarding first-year students’ intellectual development in college as well as best practices for teaching first-years.
