Brief Bio:

As an instructional designer, I participated in the design and development of multiple courses in the Health Promotions online Master’s degree program and certificate program,  and participated in the course redesign of online Instructional Technology Master of Arts (ITMA) program at Virginia Tech. Since 2004, I’ve been in faculty development services and supporting teachers in using technologies in teaching.

I received my Ph.D. in instructional design and technology from Virginia Tech and my M. Ed. in instructional technology at East Tennessee State University (ETSU) with a minor in digital media. Prior to my career in instructional design and technology, I taught English in a university in China between 1993 and 2000. I live in Harrisonburg and enjoy taking care of my family. At my free time, I love trying to grow different types of plants and playing sudoku.
