Bill Ingham’s profile

On February 21, 2011, in Profiles, by Michael Moghtader

Hello, my name is Bill Ingham and I am a professor emeritus in physics and astronomy.  I grew up in western New York state and attended college and graduate school in Massachusetts and California. My doctoral work was in theoretical astrophysics. I joined the JMU (the Madison College) in 1976, and retired from full-time teaching in July 2010.

In 2008, I developed an online version of GSCI 121 (The Physical Nature of Light and Sound) and have taught it on three occasions. I look forward to being part of this CIT online community.

My wife Linda and I live in Rockingham County; we have two grown children and several grandchildren.
