Install Day in Washington D.C.

The install day was October 13th 2013. At 8am that morning a bunch of us students helped put these two pieces in the back of a pick-up truck. Eliot and I rode behind the truck to make sure none of these pieces fell out of the truck for about 2 hours. Some men from one of the Architecture firms met us there at the Park with general contractors as well. When all the men helped put the pieces of the ground, us students started making the final touches to the piece before we sealed it with concrete sealant. We sanded down the edges and wiped down the pieces with water to fully clean them before the sealant was put on. The whole day lasted about 3 to 4 hours long. Some parents were there to help in anyway possible including my mom. The pieces are now permanently installed in the Lederer Park onĀ 4801 Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue NE Washington DC.
