Another Renovation Update

By Jenny Nehrt, Student Assistant                                                                      Our new reading room has officially been gutted! The brave maintenance men have been utilizing the scaffolding, being ever so mindful to watch their heads around the loose wires hanging from the ceiling, as they tear down the old ceiling tiles and lighting fixtures.

The trash bin below has been filled and emptied with the old tiles and carpet many times in order to prep the room for its restoration.

It may not look like much right now but we have big plans! The architects have been busy drawing up the blueprints to the room and soon we should see progress. We’re sure this room will look absolutely beautiful when it’s done!

The staff at Special Collections is excited to move into our new home but until then, come down and see us in Room 220! We’re open Monday thru Thursday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.!
